Tamarindo, from Playa Flamingo
Tamarindo is the easiest big day trip from Playa Flamingo: roughly half an hour south, and a complete change of pace. Where Flamingo is quiet and residential, Tamarindo is busy, walkable, and international, with surf schools lined up on the sand and more tour operators per block than anywhere else in Guanacaste.
