Conchal is the beach day trip from Flamingo. The sand is crushed shell rather than silt, which keeps the water clear, and the bay’s curve keeps it calm most mornings. On a good day the snorkeling off the north end is the best you can reach without a boat.
There is no town here: the beach fronts the Reserva Conchal resort development, so bring what you need or buy from the vendors and coolers that set up near the Brasilito end. Arrive in the morning for the calmest, clearest water.
The beach
Clear, calm, and shallow-shelving; the north end near the rocks is the snorkel spot. Shade is limited, so early arrival matters more here than anywhere else nearby.
Getting there
Walk in along the sand from Brasilito (10 to 15 minutes), or drive the rough track behind the beach with a 4x4 in dry season. Many visitors simply park in Brasilito.
