Africa Safari Adventure Park Day

Did you know that African wildlife feels right at home here in Guanacaste's pastureland? The eco-system mimics that of the plains of East Africa. Welcome to Ponderosa where you can hand feed the friendliest giraffes in the world and much much more. African Safari  The park has some 300 animals from 22 different species; 11 of them are African species that you can observe and some of these you can feed with carrot sticks. They live comfortably in a freedom-controlled 30 hectare area. During this incredible ride on board our special safari tour trucks, one of our trained guides will provide you with information and facts about every species. The tour takes approximately one hour, and each truck can carry 25 people. You can purchase the carrot sticks inside the park. Kayak Tour This is a 2-kilometer long ride which the whole family can enjoy. It descends the calm currents of El Salto River, and then enters La Perla Waterfall, ending at the La Vieja Waterfall. This guided ride takes about one hour, and if you want, you can douse yourself from head to toe with crystalline river water. Zip-Line Tour The best zip-line experience through the dry tropical forest and over the El Salto River. It takes approximately one hour to complete the 9 towers and the “crazy bridge,” ending in the wonderful La Perla Waterfall. Horseback Ride Along with our expert “Chepe,” you can ride a horse through Ponderosa Adventure Park, enjoying the dry tropical forest in Guanacaste. This one-hour tour offers you the chance to see some of the region´s wildlife, and admire the view along the El Salto River. Waterfall Tour This tour allows lets you discover a beautiful and breathtaking waterfall. The fun begins right at the start, since it is necessary to travel in a military truck over back country roads in order to reach the La Perla and La Vieja Waterfalls. The first stop, under the sun of Liberia, is La Vieja. Here it is possible to refresh yourself in a waterhole and enter the cave behind the 15-meter waterfall itself. Access is over a metal bridge.Then, you will discover La Perla Waterfall, where you can swim in the calm water below.This ride takes at least one hour, since visitors themselves determine how long they wish to remain in the refreshing waters of La Perla.   Once you have worked up an appetite from your busy day there is the option for a traditional Costa Rican lunch right in the park. 

Canopy and Monkey ATV Tour

After canopy zip-lining visit the world famous monkey sanctuary. Located at our same facility it is considered to be one of the best Guanacaste tours you can find. Choose you own adventure! With this special tour you are able to choose exactly how you want to fill your 4 hour tour. The first choice you get to make is whether you want to take our amazing original zip-line tour of 11 lines and three hanging bridges, all with gorgeous views. However if you are an adrenaline junkie you may want to choose our extreme zip-line tour option. This option includes radical attractions from our tarzan swing to superman ziplines. Once you have chosen which zip-line course you would like to take you now need to decide how to spend the next 2 hours of your day. Are you a beach enjoyer or a mountain explorer? If you are here to see the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica then you can choose our beach enjoyer option. With this option we will take you to private beaches that are only accessible by ATV. However if you are a mountain explorer, ride through Guanacaste's mountains and view the authentic Guanacaste region. The last stop is at the Monkey Sanctuary. About the Congo Trail Monkey Sanctuary: Orphaned baby monkeys are not always adopted by another family of monkeys, but if they are found in time they are brought here. They usually haven't developed the skills to survive in the wild so the Monkey Sanctuary become their permanent home. Here you will be able to visit with a couple of different species of monkeys, including the famous Howler Monkey. You are able to feed these amazing animals. The Monkey Sanctuary rescues more than just monkeys. There is a petting zoo with sheep, horses, and a bull! 

Diamante Adventure Park

Discovery Pass:   Diamantes Animal Sanctuary is Guanacaste's largest, built in partnership with La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Diamante is home to the widest variety of species in one location.
